been really busy.. here are my short updates.. 

i've finished my final exams for this semester last week!! hooray! marul suggested that we have a good time at a nearby waterfall last saturday.. but it's raining season and it's quite dangerous to be at waters on hills. so, we had a bbq at marul's place at the end..

had a blast!! arrived at his place at 6pm and got back home to kl around 3am the next day!! you can view the whole story and pics here. below are some of the pics on tht nite..

i'm using windows media player version 10 on my pc. got a final fantasy video from dzul which u know got cool graphics!!! sadly, it can run on windows media player but wz no audio. it mentions abt an error and told me to go to its website and look it up. and i did..

then, in the website, they inform abt codec missing called 2000 and told me to search 4 it on the web. can't find the exact link.. the websites kept forwarding to another website. so, i tried downloading divx since the video's avi file. downloaded and run it but still cannot! at tht time i got other things to do and so i stopped looking.

i finished my last final paper yesterday.. yippee!! and so, a lot of free times till end of nov or untill i get a part time job. i remembered abt the video again this morning. so, i searched for it again. i finally found the downloadable audio codec 2000 from this forum.. now, i'd like to help out anyone who's having the same problem..

2 months ago, i installed microsoft office 2003 which i got from a friend's CD. a few weeks ago, i tried to run MS Excel and it executes installing program of MS Office 2003. so, ok.. no big deal cos it does tht sometimes..

however, the program halted and told me tht a file called SKU011.CAB is missing and asked me to locate the directory where my MS Office installer is.. but i cant cos the installer wasnt mine and i couldnt reach tht person.

i didnt have time to do anything bcos of my exams and raya.. but i did it today. and how i felt relieved!! i wasnt the only person wz the problem!! it seems tht Microsoft screwed up big time!! at 1st i searched for the problem in MS website but nothing!! then i used Google to search for "SKU011.CAB". never thought tht other ppl faced the same problem.

so, i fixed my problem and i can run MS Excel. i do feel like helping ppl who face the same problem. here is what u gotta do...

1- if u have the MS Office 2003 Installer, locate SKU011.CAB in the directories of the installer. if u dont then u can download it from the link below.

2- locate C:\MSOCache\All Users\9000040c-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9. for people who are not computer literate : this is a system file, that is why you dont see it on the "windows explorer" (in order to prevent you from doing silly deletes). Then, to see it, in the windows explorer, go to "Tools" (last choice, yeah, you can see it on the very right side of the top toolbar...), then "Options" (last choice on the drop down menu), then once the pop-up window has opened, choose the 2nd tab (maybe called "Display" in english") and then, in the advanced parameters section , make sure that the option "Display hidden files" is clicked. If not, click on it and then on the "apply" button on the right back corner of the pop-up.

3- Now that the directory appears, Copy/paste the file in the directory C:\MSOCache\All Users\9000040c-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9

4- Try running the installation program again. if it doesn't work then continue to next step.

5- Go into Registry Editor. click Start> Run. then type in "regedit" and click OK.

6- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Office>11.0>Delivery. There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was {90110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9}).

7- Select that directory. look on the right side of the screen, and right-click on CDCache. Click Modify and change the Value data to 0.

8- Try running the installation program again. if it doesn't work then use Google to search for answers..

that's abt all the info i can give to u based on my problem.

this raya has been kinda interesting for me.. i kinda hate raya bcos of my dad.. raya was so much fun and meaningful back then when he was around. he left and took all of tht away from me.. raya reminds me of him.. he made our raya worth celebrating.. but not anymore.. anyway, let's review my raya week..

raya eve

helped mom wz cooking.. made marie batik cake.. schatz spent da nite wz his friends.. he was suppose to be wz me since this year was his first raya wz my family. i felt sad and angry so i slept wz my mom and switched off my hp. around 4 am, my mom woke me up and told me 2 go and sleep wz schatz. and so i did w/out him knowing until the next morning..

1st day

mom, mysha and schatz went 4 raya prayers. i stayed home 2 prepare the food for guests. i smsed my dad, "selamat hari raya aidilfitri. maaf zahir & batin. semoga Allah merahmati abah selalu. bleh dtg raya umah?". he replied, "dtg la". tht's it?! well, i didnt really expect tht he'd replied. at least he responded!

later, eldest sis wz her hubby came wz his parents. it was our 1st meeting. they seem nice. mom entertained them till noon. usually we do the 'salam' sessions in the morning but we did it in the afternoon. got 'duit raya' from kak mal!! hehehe.. we took some pics using kak mal's camera (still waiting the pics from her). after asar prayer, schatz and i went back to kl to check on jorro and swap cars. after, maghrib prayer, we headed for johor to schatz's kampung. arrived at midnite.


2nd day

received news abt my friend, pnut admitted for denggi. smsed her. later, raya sakan! schatz's got such big family in johor. went raya at his uncles' and aunties' hse. from morning till nite!! tiring! ate laksa johor, nasi ayam, and satay! kuih raya lagi... kesian perut..



3rd day

at noon, we headed for jementah to my kampung (dad's). all of dad's siblings were there. they are pak long n family, pak hitam n family, mak zi n family, pak lim, pak din and mak intan n family. pak din said to me, "everyone's here except ur father". my grandma, tuk mi is still strong physically except tht she has short-term memory lost. kesian.. she asked me abt my mom and sisters. they havent been to jementah for a long time since my dad left. *sigh* everyone's askin abt them!! getting really bored of it.

i did ask my uncles and aunts abt my dad. the stuff i heard were really upsetting and embarassing.. schatz was busy planning to go fishing wz pak din. every time we came to jementah, pak din will take him fishing and tht's what he'll think of each time we come here. what la?! i cant even follow them! so unfair!

in da nite, i spent my time watching tv, chatting, and play hoyle card games. as for schatz, he went fishing wz pak din and pak hitam. he gone out from 10pm till 3am. i waited for him. he caught 3 lil fishy. the main target was baung. and he was the only who caught it. pakdin caught a fish and pak hitam didnt catch any.. imagine how happy schatz was?



4th day

in da morning, did some cleaning in the kitchen. in the afternoon, learnt how to cook 'ikan baung masak lemak cili api' kampung style from pak din. at late afternoon, went fishing!!! i was allowed to follow bcos it was daylight. pak din took us to a nearby river behind uitm segamat. we used palm tree fruit as bait. however, it wasnt my lucky day. didnt caught any fish!!

nite, say goodbye to tuk mi, mak zi, pak din, pak salim and mak intan. we left around 10pm. on da way back to kl, schatz told me some more stories abt my dad. my cousin, haidi told him. it really hurts hearing the things my dad did to his own bros and sis. he must be saved! but how? arrived kl around 1 am.



that's my raya stories for the first week of raya. again, i'm still wondering how my dad can miss all of dis raya excitement and choose to be wz his new wife and 6 more kids who are still schooling. stupid, eh? i can still remember when i met him at his new home tht he said, "i'm happy here".
